The KODE5 Swedish qualifier is set to take place this weekend and team NiP have just announced they will no longer be taking part.
There was a lot of build up and excitment for the KODE5qualifier, especially since one of Sweden's most renowned teams, NiPannounced that they had reshuffled their squad and added the likes of Fabian "blomstar" Åkermark, the Qtour champion.
However, NiP have announced that the team does not feel ready for this event and do not wish to attend and disappoint their fans and therefore there will be no NiP at KODE5 Sweden this weekend. This is the statement released on NiP-Gaming.com:
Today (Thursday 30th August) were sad to announce that the team will becancelling their participation at the KODE5 Sweden event. The teamfeels that they are not quite ready for the event, and would not liketo disappoint fans by giving a performance not up to people’sexpectations. The ninjas next event will be announced in the nearfuture. We are sorry to the fans who were looking forward to watchingthe team play this weekend.
The news, although sad for most, is probably a wise step for the team who will be looking for future success.
There will be a team playing in NiP's position but this is somewhat of a mix consisting of:
Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund
Johan "face" Klasson
Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund
Fabian "blomstar" Åkermark
Tobias "xpozer " Björklund
